Assessing Individual Student Needs for Blended Learning

In this micro-course, teachers will demonstrate that they can assess unique student learning needs that can arise when instruction moves to a blended or remote teaching modality. Teachers will use Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs to complete an Student Needs Analysis, identify gaps related to student needs, and create an action plan to fill those gaps.

Learning Targets:

  • Inventory each student's needs related to a blended-learning environment. 
  • Gather information effectively to fill gaps related to individual student needs.
  • Develop plans to address gaps in student learning needs by leveraging the support of other school staff.
